About Me

  • About Me: Elen sila lumenn' omentielvo! (A Star Shines upon the hour of our meeting!) I am Hannah, Hanja, "Sis," Hane (Tolkienian Elvish-Quendi-dialect version of my name) and a variety of other names. The posts on this site are reflections of my thoughts and meditations on Scripture, etc. This quote sums up my view of anyone who denies God: "A man can no more diminish God's glory by refusing to worship Him than a lunatic can put out the sun by scribbling the word, 'darkness' on the walls of his cell." -C.S. Lewis

  • Guilty Pleasure: .................

  • Band I wish I was in: Hm... I dunno.

More About Me

  • Nicknames: Hanja, Hanna-bo-nannah (don't even think about it!), "Nja" as I was recently abbreviated too, "The Rock" a friendly soccer name, Hane- the Elvish version of my name directly translated as "Gift", and I think that's about all the ones funny enough or emotionally damaging enough to remember (j/k).
  • Nationality: Well.... there's a bit of controversy over this one. In my twelfth year of life, I desperately wanted to be English- we won't go into those motives.... and ever since my young young childhood when I read faerie stories (starting before age 6... even younger with Beatrix Potter), I became fascinated with Norse (Northern, mostly) and Scots heritage. Today I generally cling tightest to my Scottish heritage, though I am barely less proud of my Welsh-ness, and contain a deep love for the English... d
  • Religion: I am a Christian, a follower of Christ. An adopted daughter of the High King, the Emperor over Seas, God (known as the Great I AM). I follow the Bible. I believe, understand, act. Not always in that order, but as the Holy Spirit gives me grace.
  • Heroes: JESUS... He's pretty amazing... and He always will be These "mere mortals" were pretty neat and left legacies too: St. Paul, Timothy Paul's "son", Mary the mother of Jesus, Eric Liddel, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah, C.S. Lewis... and those I know who are living out that passionate love and worship in daily life.
  • Interests: I love to probe for the truth. The Bible is True: "Truth Himself speaks truly, or there's nothing true." And it is my belief that God is the source of all truth, for He is Truth Himself. I believe that the Bible is the only completely true book on Earth, because it is all from the inspiration of God. Can't say I've heard that of any other book. I love writing and thinking, drawing, then thinking, running, then writing, reading then thinking, you get the idea...and I love aerospace. Sports are great... classic sports like equatics and fencing, and FOOTBALL (for all Americans, this is the REAL football, called in the U.S. by the term of endearment: soccer). I love theology. Studying, analyzing, disecting, and learning. AHHHH!!!! I love to reach, anything Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Sir Walter Scott...etc. Lots of old books. Particularly British literature.I am a former Civil Air Patrol Cadet 2nd Lt., and I still enjoy flying.
  • Expertise: Not really sure what I'm an expert at here. I know! Not communicating... and I'm an expert at messing things up. I'm surprised God has still wanted to use me. I seek truth in everything I do. Please tell me if I'm going wrong. I want to honor God. If you know me well, you know that. I'm Scottish by heritage (about 75%, 13% Welsh, 5% German, 5% Norse, and 2% English).
  • Occupation: I Worship
  • Industry: Education/Research. Pursuing Bachelors in Christian Counseling now, minor in Bible/Theology. Would l

Hey this is cool. Let me try: Okay, remember when we were watching Scotland's team presentation, and I stole your camera from you (for the tenth time) and hid it in a drain pipe! And then I passed you a sort of ransom note? Then Emily started to look for it and actually found it! That was fun, but s

Hello Hannah! I hope your day goes well today. Things are seeming rather overwhelming, but they always do, so I'll not let that stop me if God is here. Love you, Chels

For reasons only God knows, the world will have to make due with one less wonderful person. Please pray for the Wright family and friends, as well as the homeschooling community of which they are an integral part. 17 year old Anna Wright drowned yesterday while swimming with friends in Lake Ontari

Ay, it looks more like Facebook now (from what I've seen of Jonathan's account) along with the blogging option. I just discovered this extra part of Xanga a couple of days ago when Chelsea invited me to be her friend. Very interesting... I'll have to start collecting friends ;-) See ya later!
